Each year in late April, Bahá’ís around the world gather to read and reflect on the annual Riḍván message from the Universal House of Justice, the international governing council of the Bahá’í Faith. The message helps guide Bahá’í communities worldwide – from large national communities to small neighborhood groups – around a shared vision for community life, service, and social progress.

The Riḍván Festival commemorates the 1863 announcement by Bahá’u’lláh, founder of the Bahá’í Faith, of His mission and teachings about the unity of humanity.

This year’s message comes at a time of growing social division and uncertainty around the world. The letter encourages communities to respond not with fear or conflict, but with hope, cooperation, and service to others.
